All of Anne Pasquale's historical characters were real women who lived real lives. For adult audiences, all of their complexities, contradictions, and compromises are brought to life for examination and discussion.
Anne's Adult History Programs were most recently featured
at the Greenville, South Carolina (https://historycomesalive.org/)
and
High Plains Colorado (https://www.highplainschautauqua.org/)
chautauquas.
These programs take the following format:
- a 40 minute presentation in character
- a 10-20 minute Q&A with the audience wherein the performer answers questions in character
- a 10-20 minute Q&A with the audience wherein the performer answers questions as themselves
Review of Nellie Bly after an appearance at The New Hampshire Humanities Council Chautauqua event:
"It's always great fun to see a new character emerge
on the Chautauqua stage but Anne's portrayal of Nellie Bly was
especially rewarding; she and Nellie provided a most informative
presentation and graced the stage with wit and charm. I'd highly
reccommend Ms. Pasquale - a.k.a Nellie Bly - to any and all Chautauqua
presenters."
